Horizon Realty is my family’s business. My parents, Richard and Jacquie Murtagh, opened Horizon Realty in Frederick Maryland and have been offering top notch professional real estate services throughout Maryland for more than 25 years.

I have worked for more than 25 years as a Business Systems Analyst in the IT industry providing end-to-end business analyses and technical support for a wide range of system development projects in both the public and private sectors. I have extensive experience working in and managing all phases of the system development life-cycle including end-user requirements definition, documentation and analysis, system design, development and testing, end-user training, system deployment and ongoing production support. I enjoy working with people and find it very gratifying to know that I've helped them achieve their goals, whether they be related to business process improvement, designing a new computer application or finding, building or selling a home. My long-term experience working with people combined with extensive project management, analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills seamlessly integrate with my real estate career.

I am a member of local, state and national real estate trade associations, as well as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). I grew up in Frederick County and have lived and worked in this area for more than 25 years. I specialize in all of Frederick County, and do business in most parts of the bordering counties of Washington, Carroll, Howard and Montgomery.
